Komo’s mission is to share the love of plant-based foods through products that are always hearty, satisfying, and made with wholesome ingredients. Its experienced plant-based innovation and development team recreate vegan versions of traditionally cheesy and meaty classics, with 100% plants.
The brand name was inspired by the Japanese term “Komorebi”, roughly translated as “sunlight filtering through trees” to metaphorically connect the brand’s ethos with the plant-based nature of its products. This zen-like feel was carried through to the visual identity and packaging, with airy, clean and natural layouts, typography and images. The Komo logotype was purposely nestled within a crest designed in an organic blossom shape, designed to evoke a seal of approval and quality control to echo the brand’s high production standards.
